You talkin' to me?!

Okay, I suck at blogging. Today, a good friend asked (very nicely) "So what ever happened to your blog?" Oh yeah, my blog. My blog that I started with such fanfare (read: told three people about) a couple months ago.

Well, what happened is that I discovered that I am Very Bad at blogging. Just like I'm Very Bad at cooking, all sports and getting up before eight. Just one more thing to add to the list. Why am I so bad at it? Is it because I'm lazy? A perfectionist? Such a fantastic writer that my agent says I should horde all the good stuff for my book deal? Yes, yes, and no.

But you know what I AM good at? Reading other blogs and leaving comments! I know, I know...impressive, isn't it? Really, though, that is what started this whole blogging thing. I feel like if you leave a comment, people should have a way to come and find you. A little accountability, you know? I think Anonymous Commenter is the meanest kid on the playground, and it isn't fair that there is no way to send your big brother after them to teach them a lesson for when they beat you up at school.

I'm not talking about the generic, nice anonymous comments, like "I like your blog!" or "Nice shoes!" or whatever. I mean the really mean ones. The things you would never say to someone in person.

So, now I can get back to my favorite thing, which is spreading the love around through comments. And if I leave one for you, now you know where to find me. But be nice, or I'll send my big brother after you.
